This is the P&O cruise liner Ventura, parked up for the night at the tiny village of Olden, right at the end of the huge Nordfjord in Norway.
The arrival of our cruise ship more than doubled the population of Olden, and Ventura wasn't the only ship there either!
As usual for Norway (or so it seems to me), the weather is distinctly on the gloomy side, with heavy cloud and intermittent drizzle. However, there's very little wind and the surface of the fjord is mirroring a reflection of the liner beautifully so off I go into the dark and enjoy an fruitful, if chilly, evening's photography.
The nice thing is, I know that when I've finished I've got a warm ship and a good meal to look forward to. I'm starting to enjoy this holiday at last!
