The subtle colours of dawn creep across the sky as our P&O cruise liner Acradia sails slowly up the passage between Corfu and the Greek mainland.
Up high on deck 10 there's myself and a couple of other early rising photographers out watching and photographing as the light goes through its infinitely variable transition from night to day.
To the east there's Greece, with gentle mountains providing us with our first sight of land for two days. The undulating contours of the land are sillhoutted beautifully against the orange sky.
This is a time to photograph - yes, of course - but this is also a time to think, pray and contemplate the greatness and wisdom of the God who makes it all happen with such grace and beauty.
