By and large, the architeture in and around Sedona, where my wife Liz and I were holidaying, was quite uninspiring and wasn't very complimentary to the stunning scenery to be found in that area of Arizona.
One noteable exception however, was the Chapel of the Holy Cross, situated between Sedona and the village of Oak Creek.
This chapel, designed as a work of art by Marguerite Bruswig Staude, was situated in a location where the scenery and the building really complimented each other.
It was a welcome relief from the somewhat 'flatpack' building style prevalent elsewhere, and well worth a photograph or two.
