The beaches along the North Wales coast are such fascinating places to visit and photograph, and one of the most interesting aspects isn't the grand scenic views (although very nice), but the smaller details that so often go unremarked at our feet as we stroll along.
One feature of this beach at Conwy Morfa on the estuary of the river Conwy is the great variety of stones and pebbles that are strewn along its length. I don't know how they all got here but the colours, sizes and shapes to be found all in one place make for very apealing photographic compositions.
This particular grouping features a bright red eroded house brick as a focal point, and as the image is all about the different colours of the stones I've used a number of PhotoShop techniques to really boost the vividness and intensity, going way beyond what would be called a 'normal' (whatever that is) rendition of the scene.
