Enjoying a bracing stroll on the beach at Llandudno in the middle of November I was taken by the wave formed ripples left in the sand by the receding tide.
Then I spotted this lonely oak leaf, which looked completely out of place on a beach. It should have been in the woodlands further inland, and it just shows how strongly the wind was blowing that it had ended up on the beach.
I wasn't really bothering to take photos, as the sky was full of cloud and the light was pretty flat, but at that point a weak sun showed itself briefly, giving a gentle sidelighting to the ripples in the sand, and I had my image.
