Billed as the smallest city in the UK, St Davids in the Pembrokshire National Park is firmly centred around its lovely cathedral.
During a few days' holiday in Pembrokeshire, Liz and I made a point of visiting St Davids to see the cathedral, and we weren't disappointed.
Arriving just after sunset on a lovely autumn evening, we had the place to ourselves and spent some time marvelling at the architecture before I ventured up to a high vantage point to take a series of photos.
The lighting was great, with a warm orange glow from coming through the cathedral's windows from the lights within contrasting beautifully with the cool blue tones of twilight in the skies above.
However, I only managed a few frames before the cathedral lights went out and the magic ended for another day.
Just in time or what?!
