Wow!
There were times during our two week stay in Colorado, exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park, that Liz's and my breath was taken away, both literally and figuratively.
Literally due to the change in altitude from our sea level home in North Wales up to the 9,500 feet altitude at Bear Lake, and figuratively due to the stunning beauty we enjoyed every day of our visit.
One of the highlights of our trip was a hike from Bear Lake up to Bierstadt Lake, passing through groves of golden aspens and on up into pine forests, heavy with the resinous scent of pine sap.
Shortly into our hike we stopped at this spot, both for a breather and to marvel at the view of Hallett Peak and Bear Lake framed by those golden leaves, glowing in the morning sun.
A poignant testimony to the glory and wisdom of our Creator God, who does all thing well.
