There are some curious juxtapositions to be found on the island of Angelsey.
I'm stood standing on a rocky outcrop by the sea at Cemlyn, an RSBP bird sanctuary and place of breathtaking beauty and peace.
The sea is gently lapping on the foreshore as the dawn twilight creeps across the face of the heavens. A lone seagull passes overhead, its cry echoing mournfully in the still air.
Just across the bay from where I'm stood contemplating the miracle of another day and photographing the dawn lightshow, Wylfa nuclear powerplant sits on the shoreline like something out of an alien invasion sci-fi movie. I think about avoiding including it in my photo but then I think again - no - it's as much a part of Anglesey's scenery as the broken down windmills and cottages that dot the island.
However, it does make for a very unusual focal point and no, I didn't see any three eyed fish swimming around!
