After our evening out in Mijas, Liz and I stopped at the local viewpoint on our way back to our apartment.
It was a beautiful clear evening and we could see nearly all of the coastal strip, with its high rise hotels and nightlife, all lit up against the blue of the Mediterranean.
What drew me to photograph this scene was the road from the coastal strip leading up to Mijas, winding through the hills and lit up from the passing traffic.
Strangely enough, it made me think of an umbilical cord, connecting the baby of Mijas to the placenta of the Costa del Sol. How weird is that!
