Not all of Snowdonia is mountains and waterfalls, there are some lovely quiet places to enjoy, such as the Conwy river here at the charming tourist town of Betws-y-Coed.
Betws-y-Coed is like the Oxford Street of Snowdonia, with the main street lined with outdoor clothing and adventure shops catering to the more well off visitors who like to dress for any possible mountaineering situation they might find themselves in.
The good thing is, you don't have to walk far to get away from the shops and find yourself some peace and solitude, with the comforting thought of a hot cup of coffee available without having to climb down a mountain first.
