A New Wine Cymru church conference found my wife Liz and I travelling far from our home in North Wales, down to the mysterious and unexplored (by us anyway) South Wales coast.
The conference ended on Saturday afternoon, and seeing as we'd driven over four hours to get here we decided to stay a couple of days extra and take a look around the Gower Peninsula, as we'd been told it was quite nice.
One of our 'go to' destinations was Rhossili beach, which proved to be very nice indeed.
A huge expanse of wave washed sand, bounded by dramatic cliffs and dunes, the beach looked fantastic from our high vantage point as sunlight and shadow raced across the flats from the passage of cumulus clouds above.
Of course, I made as much of this visual feast as possible, spending a half hour shooting stills for my Rhossili Timelapse #1 video before turning my tripod mounted camera to portrait mode to capture the dozen or so frames that I needed to make this panoramic collage.
Indeed, I liked this view so much that I came back for sunset and shot many hundreds more frames for my Rhossili Timelapse #2 video, but that's another story.
