On our whistle stop two day tour of the Gower Peninsula on the South Wales coast, Liz and I had to be pretty selective about where we visited.
But top of our 'go to' list was Rhossili Beach.
This photo was taken towards the northern, less visited end of Rhossili Bay.
When on a beach, I always spend some time looking for details in the sand, as well as checking out the larger view.
This partially buried and decayed remains of an old wire fence caught my eye, with the delicate tracery of the chicken wire standing out nicely against the surrounding sand.
I wonder how long this man-made addition to the beach survived before being overcome by weather, wind, tide and time?
