During our last trip to Chester Zoo, the one animal my two year old grandson really wanted to see was a rhinocerous.
Of course, the rhinos were situated right at the far end of the zoo, but it was worth the trek, toting my rather heavy camera setup, just to see the look on his face at his first sight of these amour plated behemoths.
There was an indoor viewing area where we could quite close and that's where I took this photo; one of many that I took in the hope that one would come out sharp in the low light conditions I was shooting in.
Well I'm glad to say that this frame was OK, as I really liked the play of light and shadow over the rhino's wrinkly features.
A very dignified looking animal.
