Strolling along the seafront at Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, you can't help but notice this dramatic sculpture in stainless steel, the Sun Voyager, depicting a Viking longboat and tapping into Iceland's nordic heritage.
The skeletal structure, set against the bleak sea and cloud wracked sky (complete with drizzle) was a visual delight, but I had to wait a while to get this photo without any people in the frame, as everyone was trying to photograph it at the same time.
Back home from our trip to Iceland, I decided to process the image as duotone, to bring out some of the 'Icelandic Noire' atmosphere that all that greyness inspired in me at the time.
