Prowling the grey streets of Reykavik, the capital of Iceland, in the drizzle, my eyes were drawn to colours like a starving man might be drawn to a burger advert.
Fortunately for me, in amongst the monochrome steel and concrete of this modern city, some Icelanders had rebelled against their colourless existence, covering walls and hoardings with an eclectic array of both classical and abstract graffiti.
This panel was one of the more random examples of the art, built up over time with an array of colours and shapes somewhat reminiscent of a Jackson Pollack painting.
A bit of thought went into the composition of this photograph, framing the graffiti in such as way as to give emphasis to the two main elements, the pasted on flyer in the top right hand corner and the pink eyes and mouth in a more central position.
