No matter where you go in North Wales you'll find beautiful scenery with a rich history to uncover.
This photo shows Puffin Island, just off the south easternmost point of the Isle of Anglesey on the North Wales coast, which is now a wildlife special protection area, but has enjoyed quite an interesting past.
For me, this is a place of peace and calm, to be best enjoyed on my own at dawn as the sun slowly rises from behind the island at midsummer, with maybe a couple of dolphins playing in the waters before me.
This image gives a more 'standard' view of the island, taken in late afternoon from Penmon Point with the sun shining from the west (to the left in this photo) at low tide.
