We're a far cry from my usual photographic haunts in North Wales this time!
Actually, this shot was taken in the summer of 2008 at the beach on the island of St Martin, in the Carribean. I've got dozens of images taken on this holiday that I need to process so I thought I'd make a start and cheer myself up with some summer sun while the snow is turning to slush on the drive outside.
Wherever I go now I try and take some blur photos as I really like the surrealist painterly effect they can give. This one was an attempt at a panning shot of a low flying pelican, taken with a slowish shutter speed to allow the pelican to blur along with the background.
Happy memories of being warm in the sun! It's freezing back in Wales tonight!
