One thing the French do well is chateaux.
This is the very impressive Chateau Gaillard, perched on a rocky outcrop over the river Seine overlooking the small Normandy town of Les Andelys.
Liz and I visited Les Andelys during the day, and although the views were nice I knew that photographically speaking, the twenty minutes of twilight at the end of the day would be the time to view the chateau at its best.
Well I wasn't disappointed, as there wasn't even a hint of breeze to ruffle the waters of the Seine as I took several thirty second exposures of the chateau and its reflection as day faded into night.
One of the best views that we enjoyed during our week long explore of the Normandy region.
