During our stay at Schaldming in Austria Liz and I enjoyed many scenic hikes, some more strenous than others!
One of the most gentle and pretty was our evening stroll around the Planai Panorama, which encircles the top of the Planai mountain, just a short car drive from our hotel.
We walked along in solitude as the sun was setting over the Dachstein Massiv to the north, alternatively passing through shadow and golden light on one of the few clear evenings of our trip.
Of course I had my camera and tripod with me but I didn't take many photos, preferring instead just to savour the peace and tranquility in a beautiful part of the world shown at its best at the cusp of the day.
This panorama gives an idea of the mood of the evening, but is just a pale representation of the reality.
