Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, didn't look this big from a distance when I started climbing it one bright winter's morning back in 2006.
This is a rare photo of me, taking a moment to get my breath back and contemplate the sheer beauty and grandeur of what lies before me.
I'd already climbed quite a way up the Miners' Path, almost to the shores of Glaslyn, when I stopped for a break and this photo opportunity.
I'm glad to say that I did make it to the top a couple of hours later, and amazingly, the weather stayed good and clear all day long, which is both rare and very welcome in this most extraordinary part of God's creation.
