Driving along the A5 in the Snowdonia National Park, Liz and I were amazed at how quickly the weather was changing around us.
Coming from Capel Curig along the A5 we were enveloped in fog until we turned into the Ogwen Valley, when the sun broke through and the fog parted to reveal the Glyderau mountains to our left.
The fog was still streaming between the peaks, and with bright sunlight reflecting from the mist and blue skies above the lighting effect was surreal to say the least.
Eventually I found a safe place to stop for a minute and was able to take this photo looking up the valley to the peak of Tryfan in the background.
A few minutes later the fog had completely dispersed and we were left with a lovely sunny afternoon for our hike and picnic up at Llyn Idwal.
