One of photography's great appeals to me as a creative hobbby is the abiltiy to capture frozen moments in time.
Take this cumulus cloud, formed over the Brandon Mountains on Ireland's Dingle Peninsula.
I took many, many photos of this cloud as it formed and decayed, each view was different and each view had never been seen before and will never be seen again.
It's amazing to think I've captured 1/40 second of the entire history of the universe with a simple click of a shutter.
