Liz and I were walking in the hills close to Llangollen, North Wales, in the dusk of a summer's day when we looked over to Snowdonia and witnessed this beautiful, tranquil scene.
What makes this picture for me is the colour difference between the overlapping misty hills in blue shadow, and the sky, glowing orange from the sun which had set a few minutes earlier. The syklined trees, delicately picked out on the crests of the foreground hills, complete the wonder.
