This very minimalist night time composition was taken by the side of Llyn Ogwen in Snowdonia, looking west towards Y Garn.
The sun had set about two hours previously, and there is still just a hint of twilight on the western horizon.
The crescent of a new moon hangs delicately in the sky, as the rest of the moon's face catches the last of the sunlight reflecting off the earth's surface.
Venus sits low in the sky, nestling in the silhouetted bowl formed by Y Garn and the Nant Ffrancon valley.
Not a breath of wind disturbs the lake as it seems the whole world holds its breath before the onset of night.
It's a time for thinking, for reflecting, for praying, and for capturing beauty on pixels.
