I'm stood on Deck 10 of the P&O liner Arcadia, gawping in awe as the fantastic Montenegrin coast slips by on both sides of the ship as we sail up what amounts to a fjord on the way to our berth at the historic town of Kotor.
Halfway up the fjord there's a small village called Perast, built right on the edge of the coast and looking very pretty with the morning sun lighting up the red roofs and whitewashed builds that are so typical of this part of the world.
Completing the scene, and rendering it irrestible to the keen photographer, is the striking clock tower that provides the perfect focal point for the image.
These clock towers are quite prevalent along the eastern Mediterranean, a reminder of the days when the Venetian empire held sway over this region.
