Golden light from the just risen sun splashes across the Montenegro coastline as we sail majestically past this defensive castle at the entrance to the stretch of coast known as the 'Montenegrin Riviera'.
The stone glows in the low angled light, perfect for a photograph as our cruise liner, the P&O Arcadia, slips by in the quiet of the early morning.
This castle marks the start to a couple of hours of stunning scenery as we sail up what amounts to a fjord towards our final destination for the day, the historic town of Kotor.
