Who can resist a gorgeous sunset? Certainly not me!
Especially when said sunset occurs in such a lovely location as the Menai Straits, that narrow body of water that seperates the Isle of Anglesey from the North Wales coast.
My wife Liz and I had spent a hugely enjoyable day exploring the beauties of the Snowdonia National Park, and we decided to swing by Caernarfon on the way home to watch the sunset over the Straits.
Of course I couldn't just watch the sunset, especially as the light on the evening clouds was so lovely, so a time lapse video shoot ensued and for the next forty five minutes we sat entranced as the camera clicked away in the fading light.
You can see the results of that time lapse shoot here.
This still image is just one of the hundreds of frames I took on that evening, and shows the sunset colours pretty much at their peak.
I loved that silhouetted yacht as well, just in the right spot to act as a focal point for the composition.
