The coastline of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca has lots of lovely little rocky coves and beaches, that, with a bit of white knuckle driving, can yield some stunning images.
Pictured here are the cliffs and headlands surrounding the seaside resort of sa Calobra on the north western coast.
Being west facing this is an ideal spot to catch a sunset, but the sun had long since disappeared when my wife Liz and stopped for me to capture this image on our way back up to the car park after a couple of hours exploring.
The chiaroscuro lighting and beautiful colours in the sky were just too good to pass by, so even though I had to unpack all my gear again, and Liz had to patiently wait for me, I wasn't going to miss this opportunity, and I'm gald I didn't!
