The tiny Port de Valldemossa on the rugged west coast of Mallorca took some white knuckle driving down a very twisty and narrow road to get to.
But it was well worth the effort, as this lovely little fishing village has remained relatively unspoilt and undeveloped, and reeks of olde worlde charm.
While I spent some time photographing waves hitting the stony beach, my wife Liz went exploring the back streets and soon returned to get me to come and look at what she'd found.
Liz looks at scenes like this one, of a back street with honey coloured stone houses and colourful wooden shutters, with a view to painting a watercolour.
This means she's got a good eye for a pleasing composition, but she has an advantage over me with my camera in that she starts with a blank canvas, and can just leave out anything that doesn't add to the composition.
Whereas I had to perform some gymnastics on a wall to finally get my Canon into a position which gave me what I wanted in terms of a clutter free photo.
Even so, I had to do some noticable geometry corrections back home in post-processing to acheive this final image.
And Liz still hasn't gotten round to doing her watercolour.
