During Liz's and my ten day stay on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca we made a serious effort to get out and about and see parts of the island that we'd missed on a previous trip.
But one place kept on drawing us back, the lovely Port de Soller on the west coast of the island.
Nestled in its own bay, and backed by the impressive Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, Port de Soller was a visual delight, as well as a really nice place to relax, and we spent a lot of time and effort seeking out various vantage points from which to view and photograph it from.
For me, the most impressive view was this one, looking out at the town from the top of the sea cliff that forms the western edge of the bay, showing the azure sea, the town, and the cloud capped mountains in the background.
Needless to say, we spent quite a long time up here, well past sunset in fact, despite the hour plus drive back home along the switchback MA-10 road.
Well worth the effort to see and photograph such a beautiful location.
