A small testamemt to the turbulent history of the island of Mallorca, the Albercuix watchtower on the spectacular Cap de Formentor.
Used in the middle ages as an early warning of pirate raids, the watchtower now looks out over nothing more sinister than coachloads of tourists stopping to admire the 300m high sea cliffs.
