Hot! Hot! Hot!
The temperature was in the high thirties on the day Liz and I spent in Malaga on the Costa del Sol as part of our cruise around the eastern Mediterranean sea with P&O.
After a couple of hours of staggering around town our water supply was finished and we'd had enough so we headed back to the ship.
Fortunately for us the walk back to our berth took us through the recently developed marina complex, with shady white awnings to shelter under.
Every few metres, fixed to the awning posts were these water sprays cooling the air.
Very welcome from a heat relief point of view, but I was more interested in how the sun was backlighting the spray against the deep blue sky.
A little thought and a quick re-position and this simple composition came to life in my viewfinder.
A quick press of the shutter button and a few seconds later we were on our way again.
