If you want to enjoy some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world then you need travel no further than the west coast of Ireland.

Battered by Atlantic breakers, the coastal cliffs and rocks of Loop Head in County Clare provide some dramatic wave action to photograph, even on a relatively calm and sunny day.

This rocky foreshore, providing dramatic patterns of retreating waves, is at the Bridges of Ross, an amazing geological formation on the northern flank of the Loop Head peninsula in County Clare.
