One of the most iconic and photographed views in the Snowdonia National Park, this panoramic collage shows the view out over Llyn Mymbyr towards the peaks of the Snowdon range to the west.
I can never drive past this scene without stopping to at least have a look, as the weather and light conditions vary so much in the mountains that you never see the same view twice.
On this occasion the landscape before me was bathed in soft light from an overcast sky, revealing details and patterns in the rocks and trees that can't be appreciated under the harsh light of an unshielded sun.
So I took the opportunity to create this panoramic collage, made from overlapping exposures and taking in a sweeping view over the lake, with lovely details available thoughout the composition, thanks to the low contrast lighting.
No doubt I'll be back again and the conditions will be completely different - I wonder what I'll see here next?
