After a couple of days enjoying the beauty of the Gower Peninsula on the South Wales coast, my wife Liz and I were bracing ourselves for the long drive back home to North Wales.
But we couldn't leave the area without a diversion to the Ceredigion coast at Llangrannog, to spend a couple of hours walking the lovely beach and headlands of this gem of a spot.
Plus, the weather was extremely nice after a few days of mixed rain and sun, so a final dose of rays was not to be missed.
Llangrannog was at its finest in the bright sunshine, so I took plenty of photos as we walked around.
On the short promenade was a shelter that had been painted with a mural by local schoolchildren, giving a nicely framed view through to the beach beyond.
As I was shooting a few test frames to get the somewhat tricky exposure right a surfer walked though the image, carrying his board up the beach.
I just managed this one shot of him, framed in the opening of the shelter, as he walked by.
