A crisp February afternoon on the North Wales coast at Llanfairfechan and my wife Liz and I are out enjoying an invigorating and brisk walk along the promenade in the icy air.
The low angled sunlight is grazing the landscape, highlighting details in the pebble beach and rocky headland that can't be appreciated when the sun is high in the sky.
So it's time to pause our walk for a few minutes while I drop down low to capture this image, using the pebbles, houses and tideline as leading lines to draw the viewer eye through the foreground and onto the impressive headland, set majestically against the deep blue winter sky.
