Due to problems with wind (the meteorological variety!) when photographing flowers outdoors, I generally prefer indoor set ups with bought flowers instead of going al fresco.
Lilies are one of my favourite types of bought flowers, as they can be photogenic at both the closed and open stages of their flowering cycle.
In this case I liked the curvy shape of the stigma and stamens, rising out of a colourful bed of petals.
I used window light and a black card background to get the shot.
