This is the Point of Ayr lighthouse on the beach at Talacre on the North Wales coast.
Abandoned for many years, the lighthouse was last painted for filming in an advert for Dulux paint, but since then it's been left to the ravages of tide and weather.
To my mind, it's condition now makes it a much more interesting photographic subject than when it looked pristine, as it stands beaten but unbowed in its lonely vigil on the sands, with scabby paint and exposed brickwork adding a touch of pathos to this once grand edifice.
