If you're looking for a dramatic location to visit and photograph then a trip to South Stack on the island of Anglesey, North Wales, is a must.
Perched on a rock at the bottom of sheer sea cliffs, the lighthouse provides a focal point in the midst of breathtaking scenic beauty and grandeur.
This is another one of those locations that I keep on coming back to, as the ever changing weather and sea state provide endless variation.
I find that late afternoon in winter is the best time to be there, to catch the sun setting in the southeast behind the lighthouse.
Wrap up warm, it's windy and cold up there!
