Sunset at Llyn Mymbry in Snowdonia, North Wales.
As the view towards Snowdon from the lake is westwards, this is the direction to explore for dramatic skies at sunset.
On this occasion everything came together as the setting sun found a gap in the clouds at the horizon, and sent a last dying blast of warm light to illuminate the underside of the clouds stretched out over the surface of the water.
The calm conditions gave the lake an almost mirror like surface with which to reflect the beauty in the heavens above.
The light show only lasted a couple of minutes before the sun finally sank below the horizon, leaving me with just a few photographs and a sense of wonder at the glory of God who made it all happen.
The marvellous thing is that it will all happen again tomorrow, only different!
