This is Llyn Llydaw, as seen from the Pyg track on a beautiful December afternoon in Snowdonia, North Wales.
The weather conditions on this day were most unusual for Snowdon, it's very rare that you get sunshine and no wind at any time of the year round here, let alone in the middle of winter.
I had taken advantage of the good conditions to enjoy a hike up and down Snowdon, and having started early I was on my way back down when I saw this wonderful reflection of the sky in the lake.
I wanted to take a photo there and then, but the cloud position and light patterns on the ground weren't ideal for a balanced composition so I set up my tripod and spent the next few minutes shuffling around getting the best possible arrangement of elements in my camera's viewfinder.
I then took a series of photos as the clouds moved sedately across the sky, playing light and shadow onto the undulating landscape before me.
To my eye this one shot had the best arrangement of clouds over the lake, and the best pattern of light and shadow on the ground.
The sun soon drops behind the peaks at this time of the year, and a few minutes later all was in shadow, and I went on my way back down a happy bunny.
