While staying at Lake Como in the mountains of northern Italy my wife Liz and I decided on a day out to Lake Lugano, the next lake along to the west of Lake Como.
Lake Lugano is somewhat different in that half of it is in Italy and half in Switzerland, and we were determined to see both halves.
Our trip took us first of all to Lugano on the Swiss half of Lake Lugano, followed by a stop in the equally lovely Porlezza on the italian side on our way back to Lake Como.
