The town of Varenna is rightly considered to be one of the nicest and most picturesque places on the shore of Lake Como, set in the beautiful Italian mountains.
My wife Liz and I certainly enjoyed our ten day stay here during late summer 2018, and I definitely made the most of the photo opportunities that this part of the world had on offer.
This panoramic collage shows Varenna and its surrounding mountainous landscape as seen from the deck of one of the ferries that criss-cross the lake, giving a view that can't be appreciated from the land.
Just a magnificent piece of scenery.
