During our two week stay in the Italian Lakes my wife Liz and I drove well over 1,000 kilometres, exploring the scenic routes around the edges of the lakes and up into the mountains.
One epic journey took us all the way around Lake Como in a day, stopping at various beauty spots to admire the views and imbibe the excellent coffee.
This is the lovely little town of Nesso, perched on a cliff overlooking the lake and looking very 'Italian' in the early autumn sunshine.
