During our week long stay on Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, my wife Liz and I took a day's ferry and coach excursion over to La Gomera, the second smallest of the Canary Islands just to the west of Tenerife itself.
We had no time for exploring and photographing in San Sebastian after docking before being whisked off on a coach tour around the island's beauty spots (really lovely by the way).
But I'm glad to say that our coach tour ended back at San Sebastian with an hour to spare before the ferry back to Tenerife was due to depart, so Liz and I used the time profitably to explore and photograph this rather charming town.
In the main square we came across this nicely weathered bronze statue of San Sebastian himself, after whom the town is named.
So I couldn't pass by without taking his picture.
