The story behind this image

While staying at Lake Como in the Italian mountains for a couple of weeks' holiday, my wife Liz and I took the opportunity to have a look at the many towns that dotted the lake shore.

One of the largest and most popular with tourists was Bellagio, right at the centre of the lake.

This view was taken while walking through the old streets of the town, and shows just a lovely, simple tableau of a couple of the details that show off the culture of the area.

Exposure - 1/60 sec @ f8, ISO800

Filters - Polarising filter used to remove glare and enhance colours.

Location - Bellagio, Lake Como, Italy

Conversion - Adobe Lightroom

Comments - Handheld exposure with image stabilisation and high ISO to prevent camera blur.
