The northwest corner of Anglesey is a fantastic place to be to watch the sun go down. (When the clouds permit of course!)
This particular view is to be found at Rhoscolyn, looking out to sea towards a tiny island with an abandoned monk's tower making a great focal point for any composition.
When I'm at the coast, I always like to stay as long as possible, preferably until long after sunset when there's only just a hint of twilight left in the sky and the colour temperature has gone through the roof, leaving the scene bathed in gorgeous blue light.
It's this blue light that I really like. I could alter the colour temperature of the image either in camera or in post-processing, but more often than not I like to keep it at my default 'daylight' setting and let the light record as it will.
I find that the mood and atmosphere of a place, especially a coastal scene, comes over much better without too much correction.
I'm looking forward to more long summer evenings on the Anglesey coast, just watching the light fade out to sea. Bliss!
