This photo, taken during a walk along the Sychnant Pass on the North Wales coast, was one of those opportunist grab shots that come along once in a while.
Liz and I were walking back along the pass, having explored the Iron Age fort up there, when I noticed this great cloud pattern.
As we walked along I kept my eyes open for a suitable foreground against which to place these clouds. I wanted something simple and graphic, and when I saw this limestone outcropping, flanked by colourful heathers, I knew I'd found what I was looking for.
It was the work of just a few seconds to set up the tripod, align an ND grad, take the photo and move on.
A few minutes later I looked up again and the clouds had dissipated, with just a few wisps remaining.
It's nice to know that that one unique moment lives on in this photo.
