The story behind this image

This is the beach at Penmaenmawr, down at sea level.

I was actually taking a photo of the amazing clouds and lighting at the time, using the groynes as a convenient lead in line, and the wet sand as a giant light reflector.

A conversion to monochrome highlights the drama in the sky.
