A world away from the tourist resorts along the south coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands lies the Parque Natural Tamadaba, and area of volcanic wilderness on the north west coast of the island.
Accessible by driving along the amazing GC-200 coast road, views like this showing majestic mountains sweeping down to the Atlantic ocean are commonplace.
The only problem is finding somewhere safe to park to take a photo!
For this particular image I did find a convenient layby, and deliberately underexposed the shot by several stops to preserve the contre jour highlights while rendering the mountains to a near silhouette.
